The Treasure Basin 聚寶盆 is one of the oldest symbols of accumulated prosperity in Chinese tradition: a vessel that holds whatever flows into it. Here it is filled with pearl, natural red agate, a blush-pink bead, and a sky-blue bead finished by hand in cold enamel.
It sits at the centre of the bracelet as a reminder of the principle the series is named for: wealth that is gathered steadily, and kept.

The abacus is the instrument of the woman who keeps the books. Its beads never move on their own; each one is placed with intent. Hanging beside the basin, it carries the second half of the series' meaning: prosperity is gathered, and then it is managed.
It is framed by hammered gold-tone rondelles, two spacers set with blue and blush-pink stones, and a single clear-stone drop that catches the light as the wrist moves.

I purchased this talisman about two months ago. Now, when I received it, before I had even opened the box, I felt a bit like I’d had a cocktail, buzzy, light headed. I hadn’t, as I said even opened, the box yet, just picked it up from the mailbox. It could be coincidence.
